Feminist Workshop take the street in Lviv
There is a myth that in Ukrainian tradition, women only occupy a sacred and special place as guardians and mothers. Unfortunately, the truth is different: historically, the situation of women in Ukraine is very deplorable. Violence against women was so normalized that it was reflected in popular proverbs and songs, quotes from which we used on posters for the campaign “Let violence against women only remain in folklore”
On Sunday, December 3, activists from the Feminist Workshop took to the streets of Lviv to draw attention to the problem of violence against women. Despite the snow, frost and air raids, we are ready to talk about what is important to us! And we encourage our supporters to do the same. The fight against violence against women is still on the agenda!
